What is I-Phone Broadband Phone Service?
I-Phone is a Voice-over-Internet-Protocol (VoIP) service that offers phone service over a Broadband Internet Connection. Broadband, or cable connection, a regular telephone, a router, and a telephone adapter or IP Phone are required for service.

- I-Phone works with any new or existing cable, ADSL, or Streamyx broadband connection.

How does I-Phone Broadband Phone Service work?
The I-Phone gateway or IP Phone converts your voice into packets of data that can be routed over the Internet to the person you want to call. The I-Phone Voice Service routes your call to connect to anyone. To enjoy FREE call, both ends must use I-Phone products. To call to mobile or other non-I-Phone members, option to subscribe our super low IDD Voice Services.

How is I-Phone different from my current telephone service?
I-Phone Broadband Phone Service, as a Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) service, differs from regular telephone service. ADSL or cable connection, a regular telephone, a router, and telephone adapter are required for service. When placing a FREE call among I-Phone community, you just need to dial the end 4 digits number of the 8 digits numbers assigned. When placing a voice call with I-Phone calling service, you must dial 00 follow by country code – area code and phone number. For example; 00-603-83182000, 00-6012-8888888, 00-1-402-8888888. I-Phone does not support traditional 911 access to emergency services. I-Phone service will not work if power is out. Network congestion or use of data services at the same time as I-Phone might affect sound quality.

How do I take my I-Phone service with me, if I move to a new address?
You can take your I-Phone service with you as long as a ADSL broadband or cable connection is available. Whenever you move, or access I-Phone from a different location.

With I-Phone, can I talk on the phone and use my computer at the same time?
Yes, your I-Phone service will work even if you are simultaneously accessing the Internet, sending files or instant messaging over the same broadband connection with your computer. Use of data services at the same time as use of I-Phone may affect sound quality.

If I lose power, will I still be able to use my I-Phone service?
No, a power or broadband service outage will prevent ALL service from working; I-Phone Service will not function until power is restored. However, you have the option of selecting a back-up phone number in case of an outage of your broadband connection or a power outage. This back-up phone number allows you to forward calls to a cell phone or another number during a power outage.

Does I-Phone protect me from 1800, 1300 and other premium charged calls (i.e, 600 numbers) on my account?
Yes, all 1300, 1800 and 600 numbers will be blocked from the service.

Do I need to have my computer on to make a call?
If you are making calls using a normal telephone (connected to adapter and router) your computer does not need to be on for I-Phone to work. You can make and receive calls just like you would with your traditional phone service.

Will anyone be able to call my I-Phone number?
Yes or no with I-Phone. You can make and receive calls from I-Phone member just like you would with traditional phone service – anyone can call you from anywhere. With I-Phone services, you can also make calls to other non-I-Phone member. To receive calls from non-I-Phone member, you must subscribe I-Phone DID number service.

To place a call, simply dial 00 and then area code follow by the seven-digit phone number (mobile) or 8 digits phone number of the person you are calling.

What type of broadband/high-speed Internet connection can I use?
In order to take advantage of the benefits of I-Phone, you will need a high-speed Internet (broadband) Connection, including ADSL, (recommended with 128Kbps and above) High-Speed Dial-up connections, will not provide enough speed to carry voice service with enough reliability and quality.

What are the bandwidth requirements for I-Phone?
The recommended bandwidth requirements for I-Phone are 256Kbps download/downstream, 64Kbps upload/upstream. However, if you plan to surf the Internet and download information while using your I-Phone service, we recommend 512Kbps download/96 Kbps upload.

Do I need a Static IP to use I-Phone?
No, you do not need a Static IP for I-Phone but if you do have one, we will support it.

Can I access my I-Phone Account Manager from any computer?
Your I-Phone Account Manager can be accessed from any computer with an Internet connection. For Malaysia Subscriber, just type www.my.I-Phone.com.

Do I need to open any special ports in I have a firewall in my network environment?
If you are currently not restricting outgoing traffic from your network, no special ports need to be opened. However if you have a more restrictive environment, you will need to allow outgoing access to UDP port 5060 on host I-Phone.com to pass signalling information, and to UDP ports 18000 to 65000 on host media.I-Phone.com to pass voice / video data.

How is I-Phone Service billed?
A monthly fee for the I-Phone Calling Plan, including the standard set of features, is billed yearly in advance. Additional features not included in the monthly fee, like VoicePlan, are prepaid in advanced before activation.

Any I-Phone Account Set-Up Fee?
No. There is no Account Setup fee on I-Phone service. However, if you need help to do installation, a charge of RM200 applies and only valid in Klang Valley area at this moment.

How does the Money Back Guarantee work?
I-Phone offers a 30-day Money Back Guarantee. If you cancel the service within 30-days of when you activate your I-Phone-provided gateway or IP phone, we will reimburse gateway or IP phone which you had bought.. Equipment must be returned in good working condition to our agents or ship to us directly within 14 days after cancellation else no reimburse will be given. However, you still will be charged the monthly fees of RM10 for the first month (per number) and all calls charges you have made.

How am I charged for I-Phone service?
I-Phone Service will charge a flat, monthly recurring plan fee of RM10 and billed in yearly advance. VoicePlan will be charged in prepaid mode prior any activation.
